TW: mental health, mental illness
By Emm Roy.
Very descriptive of my life right now. I love Emm Roy’s work no matter where I’m at with my illness.

Thank you! Always happy to hear that someone loves my work. Ps. You deserve to have your illness taken seriously. You deserve to be treated with respect. I’m sorry that this is what you’re going through right now because you deserve so much better and I hope that you get everything you deserve in the future, but I’m proud of you for powering through and making it this far. Keep fighting the good fight.

The problem with being an outlier is that humanity likes to organize people and put them in boxes and neatly label them and the people that fit the boxes are content, and the people that don’t fit all the way try to fit and are mostly content and the people that can’t fit are deemed broken and in need of fixing. The problem isn’t us. It’s the boxes. But the people that make the boxes are the people that like the boxes because they fit in the boxes and they represent the majority and its nearly impossible to change the mindset of a population of people that are blind to the problem.
